I always like Jil Sander bag. I own one in hobo style and it is a keeper. I have this bag for more than 3-4years and I never had any thought to let it go.

The the problem for me is, it is difficult to get a Jil Sander bag in the city where I live. We don't have a Jil Sander store and no store carries Jil Sander collection. So so sad :(

Jil Sander's signature design is always minimalist (with minimum use of hardware) yet it always let the leather speak for itself. In other words, the leather is simply the best quality leather (soft yet durable) with great craftsmanship.

So when I browsed around Barneys today, I had this 'love at first sight' effect on this bag. Can't help it, so I have to make a post about it before I forget or before the bag is snapped by someone from barneys.com (and forever disappeared for viewing)

Prada vs. Jil Sander: tote bag with long strap

They are really look alike. And I like BOTH!
However, when I noticed further on the bag sizes, Jil Sander bag (L39 x H20 x D17 cm) has bigger dimensions than Prada's (L33 x H23.5 x D14.5 cm).

So, given my small/petite frame, I think the one from Prada will suit me better.

Should I put this bag (the Prada one) on my bag wishlist? *think think think*

Ok, another bag trend that I saw this season: black and white polka dot.

I really like this Jil Sander dotty bag ....... that one big black dot gave the super cute effect to the simple hobo bag! Niceeeee.......

This Jil Sander bag 'almost' went home with me

And now I still regret I did not take it home :((

I saw in Le Bon Marche the same bag but in gorgeous dark purple colour. It was a very versatile colour. I touched the leather and it was so heavenly soft. The Jil Sander's leather is the key factor that made me adore this German brand very much.

The bag is described as follows in their website:
"Minimal and simple shape. Easy and everyday use bag presented in a very soft deer skin."

I totally agree with that!

At that time I contemplated for quite some time inside Le Bon Marche whether to buy this bag or not. And I finally decided to leave the bag at the store.

Now I still want it and have a challenge that I could not find any local store that carries Jil Sander brand. Local OP store has stopped selling this brand in the past 3 years. And HN has been gone out of business since last year.
I wish I was impulsive enough to grab this bag at le Bon Marche and to take it home with me...

I noticed that a number of gorgeous orange handbags were released by my favourite brands:

And let's not forget to mention the rumour of Celine Fluo Orange Mini Luggage for FW11 collection. This should be a very gorgeous classic bag. Head turner is guaranteed. But too bad I dont have its photo yet :(

I adore this orange beauty

I have been a secret admire of Jil Sander bags. But it is so sad that there is no other store in my city that carries Jil Sander collection *sigh*

As I have been bitten by the orange bug recently, then my fave from its FW11 collection is this orange satchel. The look is minimalist but the leather looks devine. it seems that the leather speaks for itself!!! Looks super luxurious and classic.

Fuchsia, I am in love....

Just realized that I have several bags in fuchsia color.
