Recent beauty haul

The Bobbi Brown items are mostly repeat purchase, except the 'No Smudge Mascara'. If I have to choose between 'Everything Mascara' and 'No Smudge Mascara', then definitely I would choose the later. The lipgloss is in petal (#3)

And below are the new addition of my Chanel cosmetics. They are powder blush in Rose Initial (#72) and Rouge Allure lipstick in Romantic (#28). Love them both!!

I love Tom Ford cosmetics....
A couple months ago I got a few colour shades of its lipstick (check here) and I still wanted more!!!
Now I just added my Tom Ford cosmetics, for lips and eyes. I got 'True Coral' and 'Scarlet Rouge' for the lipsticks. Both are in bold colour but both look nice when I apply them on my lips.

And for the eye shadow palette, it's 'Cocoa Mirage' eye colour quad which instantly has become my favourite for daily eye make up.

Yesterday I bought a few skincare products from La Mer, i.e.:

• The SPF 30
• Treatment lotion
• Lip balm

Except for the SPF 30, the other 2 products are new to me. They are my first bottle of Treatment Lotion and my first jar of lip balm, and I am looking forward to using them regularly. I am just excited for trying these (new-to-me) products. Yay!

Tom Ford Lipsticks

I have heard so much about Tom Ford lipsticks that so many ladies have given positive reviews for them.
I was therefore super curious with these highly appraised lipsticks and finally felt excited when I had the chance to visit Tom Ford beauty corner at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong. Definitely I was overwhelmed with the colour options for Tom Ford lipsticks (not to mention that I also like their beautiful eyeshadow palettes lol).

So at the end I decided to take home these 4 colours:

• Casablanca
• Crimson noir
• Negligee
• Flamingo

I have used two of them and so far I love the texture and colour. For sure I want more of Tom Ford beauty products. More lipsticks and eye shadow palettes are already in my wishlist *wink*

I have been using La Mer moisturizing cream for nearly a decade. I simply love its texture and it is very suitable for my skin condition which can get dry easily. I normally bought the 30ml jar of Creme de La Mer moisturizing cream (I finish that jar for 3 month of regular use). But from my recent purchase, I was offered a special package that is worth the money and it includes the 60ml jar of my favourite moisturizing cream and also the eye concentrate.

So here are the skincare products that come in that small green box:

Creme de la Mer moisturizing cream / The eye concentrate / Blanc de la Mer whitening essence intense / Blanc de la Mer cleansing foam / Blanc de la Mer infusion / Blanc de la Mer whitening lotion intense.

I am always happy if I buy skincare that comes in small package. I would re-use the small bottle/jar once I finish the product and refill them with cream/liquid face wash for travelling purpose.

Gosh... I just realize that I have had those clutch and wallet for years and I still love them now.

Lipsticks

By definition, Lipstick is a cosmetic product containing pigments, oils, waxes, and emollients that apply colour, texture, and protection to the lips (from wikipedia).


I am a simple lady when it comes to lipstick. I would wear around 2-3 same shades for a period of time (i.e. 1-1.5 years), then I would get bored and switch to another brands/colours. So that's the main reason why I have a relatively limited lipstick collection. I rarely buy lipstick impulsively. I will buy ones if I am running out of my favourite shades and even I would buy the very same colour code.

Currently I really love the ones from Giorgio Armani (those in red cases). I have been on GA lipstick for almost a year. I love its texture and it lasts long enough during my busy day. However, now I am thinking to get a new colour shade, and I feel excited already.... ;)

This is another late post as those were my beauty haul around 3-4 months ago. To be honest, I almost forgot that I took some photos of my beauty haul that can be posted in the blog. Well, some items were my repeat purchases while others were new stuffs that I wanted to give a try. So far I am quite happy with those items, except the foundation stick from Bobbi Brown. I guess that its foundation texture does not really match with my skin type. I would definitely prefer Maestro fusion makeup from Giorgio Armani.

The first bottle is the cleansing gel and I just noticed that the cleansing gel is now coming in a new (sleeker) bottle. Nice.... I like it!
While the second bottle is the hydrating infusion and this bottle will be my first trial as recommended by the beauty sales assistant. Although the name may seem quite sophisticated (and confusing lol), but basically this is a booster which is to be used before applying the holy Creme de La Mer.

This is a very very very late posting. My apologize.

I wish to share what I had inside my make up pouch when I was travelling. So here are some photos from my India trip in September last year. Well, it was around 5 months ago, and gosh, time flies so fast. 

I have been a loyal user of La Mer skincare products for more than 5 years. All of my skincare products are from this brand. To be honest, they cost me quite a fortune. But after 2 decades of trying and using various skincare products I found out that La Mer products are the most suitable cream for my skin type. I noticed that since I used La Mer's creme de la mer, I never visited a dermatologist. So let's just say that I have saved some money from not visiting the dermatologist (and saved my time too! Doctor queue was always long), hence I think it is quite acceptable that I have splurged on this skincare brand. My daily routine is to apply Creme de la Mer, eye cream and sun block in the morning. It's such a simple regime.

 

Now let's talk about my make up. Currently I like Giorgio Armani and Bobbi Brown products. I love their colour palettes (for eyes especially) because they offer natural-look finishes and the textures of their make up products (eye shadow, blush on, lipstick) are just divine and long lasting.

I can summarize that my make up regime is also simple. For me, the most important things are to get protected and luminous skin and to have balanced eyebrows. I have asymmetric eyebrows (i.e. different arch, thickness and shape), so I desperately need to have them 'equally drawn' lol. The rest of my make up stuffs are used to add colors to my face (especially lips) so that I do not look too pale. However for daily activities (especially for school runs) I rarely applied the eye shadows or blush on. I would apply them on my face when attending a more formal event (not when I am going to kids' school). And please notice that I do not carry mascara inside my make up pouch. It is intentionally excluded. Because mascara is the last item that I would use. Somehow, applying mascara never works well for me. I sweat a lot and tend to have oily skin around the eyes. Therefore if I put on mascara on my eye lashes (even the waterproof one), they would smudge quickly. I have tried many mascara brands including the high end brands, but this smudge issue always happened. Well, maybe I need more practice on that mascara department, but now I am quite content with my look without the mascara and for an indefinite period I will leave this issue unsolved... lol
