Louis Vuitton family

I used to be a Louis Vuitton addict for a long time. I remember that my first Louis Vuitton bag was purchased in 1998 while I was studying in the UK. Since then I can not be stopped in adding my LV collection that at one point of time I had a significant number of Louis Vuitton bags and small leather goods. However as I (easily) get bored with all those monogrammed bags, I gradually let go of my Louis Vuitton bags and wallets, until those shown on the photo are the remaining. So now I have zero or nil Louis Vuitton bags and I intend to keep only these few items of small leather goods.

But, maybe one day I would go back to my old habit... i.e. start collecting handbags from Louis Vuitton. Well, who knows... because I rather believe in an old proverb saying that 'old habits are hard to break' LOL

Michelle Williams' Louis Vuitton Ad Campaign for Capucines

 

For sure Ms. Williams has been very busy attending Louis Vuitton photoshoot sessions. She was the face of W bag as well as this gorgeous Capucines bag. As always Michelle looks lovely and I love her pixie hairstyle that has inspired me to have (almost) similar hairstyle starting this year *smile*

 

I have to confess that I fall in love with this bag after seeing Angelina Jolie (check here) and Diane Kruger (check here) carrying it. My hesitation for the bag is simply for its steep price. MM Capucines is EUR3,500 and GM Capucines is EUR3,800.

Reese Witherspoon and Louis Vuitton W bag

Reese Witherspoon was spotted carrying the new Louis Vuitton W bag to various occasions. She wore the bag to a casual outing (maybe lunch?) and to the gym or yoga class. She has given us ideas on how the bag can take part in our daily lives. Yes it certainly can, only if we are willing to spend USD4,000 for this monogram canvas version in size PM.

The bag can be worn in 2 styles: with the 'wings' out or in. I definitely much prefer the style with the wings out.

Diane Kruger and Louis Vuitton Capucines

Another celebrity has been spotted to carry the gorgeous Louis Vuitton Capucines. This time it is a cherry red Capucines GM.
I really love how Diane Kruger matched the classic looking bag with a casual outfit. And these pictures show that we can never go wrong with a red bag on sunny day.

When I saw Ms. Jolie carrying this bag, I instantly loved the bag. Very classic and the black one with gold hardware is so stunning.
The only thing that I dislike is the price. The one that is carried by her will cost everyone a steep price of EUR3,800 *sigh*

Hilary Duff and Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Speedy Bandouliere

Hilary Duff is another celebrity who is spotted for wearing a Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Speedy Bandouliere 25. I believe the colour is orient red. A lovely shade of red. Bright and pop colour.
I like seeing her in this red bag as it shows that the bag can be a great (and chic) casual bag. Well, who doesn't love wearing a practical and gorgeous sling bag while your hands are fully occupied to carry the most adorable accessories (Isn't baby Luca cute?).

Kate Moss and Louis Vuitton Sofia Coppola Suede Bag

It seems that Ms. Moss' bag has been regularly used by her. The bag looks very slouchy as the result from frequent wears.

The bag has been on my wishlist for a very long time. I simply never get bored with this duffle-styled Sofia Coppola bag. It is just a classic duffle bag (made from suede calf leather) that is very easy to wear or to match with any day-to-day outfit. The only thing that I dislike about this bag is its steep price. I don't think I am willing to splurge USD4,650 for a duffle bag *sigh*

The newlywed Mrs. Timberlake is looking gorgeous in her winter outfit while The Timberlakes were taking a stroll in New York recently.

She carried the chic Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Speedy Bandouliere 25 in Aurore. Lovely colour indeed. Aurore is also my favourite (the same style also has in aube, orient, infini and earth colours).

Should I put this bag on my 2013 bag wishlist? *wink

Miranda Kerr and Louis Vuitton Sofia Coppola

This Sofia Coppola bag is truly drool worthy. Priced at EUR3,050, it is a keeper!!
The color that Mrs Bloom wore was Jasper and the bag is still available online at LV website.

Quietly, the Sofia Coppola bag has been on my wishlist for more than a year. But since last year, my addiction to Celine has made me 'reprioritized' this bag and pushed Celine luggages forward to the top wishlist ;)
I guess it is time for me to review my wishlist and carefully consider what should be on my 2012 list....

Help! I need a cross body bag

I just came back from a family holiday and during the weekend getaway I brought my Chanel Biarritz. Before leaving home I thought that I would need a BIG bag as I anticipated to stuff my bag with iPad, mobile phone, mobile phone charger, wallet, cosmetic pouch, foldable baby carrier, mobile banking devices, small writing pad, toys and camera. As expected I ended up carrying a full and heavy bag. Plus I have to carry my 10month old baby in baby carrier (i.e. baby was carried in front or in kangoroo style). Comfort was not my main objective during the trip. I focused on my baby comfort and safety and being not-to-forget-anything-so-just-put-everything-in-the-bag.

Then I just realized that I do not have a nice and comfortable cross body bag. I do have a Balenciaga Velo Black RGGH (that can be worn cross body) and Prada nylon small crossbody bag. But they’re still too big or too small (or too heavy in the case of Bal Velo RGGH) for me just to carry my essentials.

So now I need (and want) a nice, stylish and comfortable cross body bag and officially I am in the hunt for it.

I plan to stuff my (future) cross body bag with

• Wallet (continental/zipper style)
• Mobile phone
• Credit card case
• Pencil case
• Small mirror
• Tissue

Yup, I do not intend to put my cosmetic pouch inside the bag :p

And the criteria that I am looking for are as follows

• Lightweight (very important)
• Not too big and not too small, just the right size to accomodate my stuffs
• Stylish enough (ehm....)
• Easy to open or to access the bag contents
• Strap length must be suitable for my petite frame
• Worry free (meaning that I must not worry that the bag may get colour transfer from jeans)

Then I came up with few finalists from 3 brands: Louis Vuitton (Trocadero 27, Menilmontant PM, Odeon PM), Bottega Veneta and Celine (Nano Luggage).

Honestly I have not made my mind on the most preferred style or colour. I still want to try on those bags, especially LV Menilmontant and Bottega Veneta crossbody bag. I did try the Celine Nano Luggage few months ago and the size or weight is just perfect. The bag actually met my criteria. But again, trying the other bag finalists is still worth doing before I spend some cash on a rather small bag.

So they should put the best window displays showcasing their latest trend/theme/bags.
And it was obvious from these 2 window displays that the Maison currently has a theme of travel. So nice.... as their legacy was closely associated with 'travelling'.

And I like those hot-air balloons displayed in various sizes.

I've had enough of Louis

1.5 years ago....

Now....

I have confessed in this post, that I used to be a Louis Vuitton fanatic.

But things have changed in the past 1-2 year. So my Louis Vuitton family has decreased significantly LOL....  I have gradually (or slowly) let go of my LV bags until I can achieve this stage. It was not an easy things to do for a bag fetish like me, but I did it. Yay!

Now I am pretty much content with my small Louis Vuitton family....

Another trial for my new bag closet

The last 3 weeks 4 weeks have been very hectic and I never changed bag during that period. I continuously wore my Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Neverfull and this has been my loyal bag companion.
So when I visited the house project, I let my loyal LV Neverfull to sit in the future bag closet while I took closer inspection to the house' finishing stage. For sure the closet is dusty!! But no need to worry as the monogram canvas material can be easily cleaned/wiped.

I noticed that the Monogram Canvas colour really matched with the wooden closet and wooden floor (in the main bedroom area). And I further imagined if the bag closet is already filled with bags from various brands. That will make a nice view for a bag fetish like me. Hahaha... I have soon to decide which shelves are designated to which brands and I do hope that my bag family can be stored in just one bag closet.

For next trial I am thinking to bring few bags and I can see how many bags can be stored in each shelf :p
