A cup of cappucino on Saturday morning

I brought my Cath Kidston saddle bag (recently acquired, please check here) for going out with the kids on Saturday morning. While the kids were playing (or running aroung the park), I enjoyed a cup of cappucino as my morning booster.

My favourite sunglasses case

When it comes to sunglasses case, I am not a fussy person. But I know that I do not like the bulky hard case which normally comes with our designer sunglasses. So this one from Cath Kidston is just perfect for me. It's colourful, compact enough, a semi hard case (covered in durable oilcloth fabric) and it can fit my Celine Audrey. The 'berry' red spot print also matches with the Day Bag that I recently purchased.

I also have another one in red but in different print (called Royal Stan). And in the past one week I have kept looking at and browsing around the Cath Kidston website and thinking to get another one lol. Surely one case (or two) is not enough for me :p

A speedy delivery from Cath Kidston

I still remembered very well on my latest post in regards to recent Cath Kidston shopping spree. It was only 5 days ago (check here).
Yet I was very very surprised when the goodies arrived yesterday by DHL men. Whenever I bought or ordered something from Cath Kidston website, it would normally take around (at least) 2 weeks for Royal Mail delivery. So this 5-day (Europe to Asia) delivery time is considered as a very very speedy delivery. I am impressed (yet I was charged for hefty customs and DHL handling charges).

I was quite excited when opening the package (in cute plastic wrap). So these are my hauls, a Day Bag in berry/red spot print and a Saddle Bag in riding print. They are part of FW12 collection and I got them during Cath Kidston's one-day special promo event (a.k.a. one-day surprise sale). Yay!

From the recent Cath Kidston sale

These are my recent purchases from Cath Kidston website: a day bag in berry spot and a saddle bag in vintage riding print.

Now I just need to wait Mr. Postman delivering the package to my doorstep

Cath Kidston Day Bag for my daily bag in Singapore

Cath Kidston Bucket Day Bag in Folk Flowers print

In the past 2 months, I temporarily stayed in Singapore. It explains why I infrequently made any blog posts. I stayed there without bringing any laptop or DSLR camera. Hence I had no proper equipments that allowed me to put regular post with own photos on my blog nor enough time to do so. Well, the later was actually the main reason though.

Anyway, during my stay in Singapore, it was raining everyday. And as I took public transport everyday, getting wet from the rain was something unavoidable. So I have to carry a reliable bag for my daily activity. Carrying an expensive designer leather bag during rainy season would not be the best idea obviously. Then toting an oilcloth bag from Cath Kidston as daily was somehow very convenient and quite comfortable. So this is it, my daily bag during the rainy season in Singapore. It is water proof, roomy, has side pockets (very useful to keep the MRT card) and surely I did not have to baby it. I often keep my wet umbrella inside the bag!!

See, this is the key reason why I like the bags from Cath Kidston. The durable material and its classic vintage prints have won my heart.

No wonder that I kept ordering or buying stuffs from Cath Kidston recently. In fact I just made an online purchase during Cath Kidston's one day sale (will make a separate post on this) *wink*

Mad about Cath

Here I am referring to Cath Kidston obviously ;)

These are some stuffs that I hauled in the past one month :D
I simply could not resist those beautiful vintage prints. And now I am looking forward to their annual Christmas Sales which is normally started in December *wink*

Today's packages from UK

Today I received 2 packages sent by Royal Mail. Without opening the sealed packages, I immediately knew the contents! Yay!

Few weeks ago I did some online shoppings. This is the previous post where I shared one of two (impulsive) online shoppings;) From the white package, it was quite obvious that I had bought some items from www.cathkidston.co.uk. (btw, it is always a nice packaging from Cath Kidston)
I could say that I was pretty much affected by the excitement of Diamond Jubilee celebration in the UK. And Cath Kidston has specially designed this 'Royal Stan' theme as part of the Queen's Jubilee event. The print is simply cute (with dog print all over it, instead of flower) and without further thinking at that time I immediately clicked 'buy' button for these items lol... See that I (sometimes) can be an impulsive shopper :D

So, after I completed the transaction at Cath Kidston, I then browsed around eBay and carefully looked for an Orla Kiely shoulder bag. I noticed a pretty good deal from an eBay reputable seller on the style that I liked (and I fancied this simple STEM print too), so again without prolonged consideration, I clicked the 'BIN' button.

I once sent an email to Orla Kiely www.orlakiely.co.uk, enquiring whether they could do shipping to my country. And they replied and apologized that they could not do so as my country has not been registered in their payment option. *Sigh*  I was disappointed but did not give up for owning an Orla Kiely bag. Hence I kept checking on eBay, to find a good deal for my first Orla Kiely bag.

And here is my first Orla Kiely bag which has arrived today in a pink package *Excited*
The style is simply called shoulder bag, and print is labeled Large Stem in Olive. I have to say that I am quite happy with the craftsmanship. The bag is lined in soft cotton material (with its famous stem pattern too) and has handy side pocket. The outer material is also in great quality and I feel that it is better (quality-wise) than Cath Kidston's oil cloth fabrics.

I quite like the yellow tote bag too!

Orla Kiely design work on the back of a London bus

Bellow is a brief description about Orla Kiely that I quoted from Wiki and other sources:

Orla Kiely is an Irish fashion designer based in London. Although she started work on hat design, she has since moved into design work on handbags and her designs have been featured on a variety of other items including kitchenware and cars. She received a Master's degree from the Royal College of Art where Harrods purchased her exit collection. She worked with a variety of companies before setting up her own business. Described by The Guardian as "the Queen of Prints", she first started work on hats, but soon moved into design work on handbags. She's famous for her 'stem' print and currently has a collaboration with Uniqlo for designing clothing with her trademark prints.

So, at the end this is an example of happy impulsive online shopping for me....

(Online) shopping of the day

I have been under the weather.
I had bad cough and caught a cold.
So I spent my time at home in the past 3 days. I tried to rest and felt better now.

While I was bored and alone today, I browsed around some of favourite online stores. Surely I visited Cath Kidston website and saw these accessories with 'Royal Stan' print. The print is cute! And the print does not reflect any 'flower' theme - the famous print from Cath Kidston.

After spending half of hour of clicking and choosing, finally I decided to buy 4 items, all with 'Royal Stan' print: (1) blackberry hard case, (2) travel wallet, (3) glasses case, (4) travel purse.

Now all I have to do is to continue resting and wait the package to arrive in the next 2 weeks.

Vintage flowers patterns from Cath Kidston

I digged out my computer harddisk and found these photos. They are group photos for every batch of my Cath Kidston shopping haul. Pssstt, I only bought Cath Kidston stuffs only when they had SALE.

I admired the team behind CK (i.e. Cath Kidston) who can continuosly design classical and vintage flower patterns for their products. The names of the pattern are also reflecting its strong inspiration, such as winter meadow, briar rose, trellis rose, folk flowers, bunch flowers, winter rose, etc....
The names are just lovely and sweet.

And by the way, many of those bags are no longer in my closet. As I gave away some to my close relatives.

My (future) bag closet

Today I visited our new house (still in progress) and found out that the walk-in closet has been nicely set up in the master bedroom. I have requested a special space for keeping my bags collection, and wanted it to be separated from the other wardrobes. And this is the final result. The size is just right (not too big and not too small) and I am sure it can store my curent bag collection comfortably.

The bag closet is 1 meter width and 2.4 meter height, divided into 6 shelves. --> I would definitely need small steps to reach the top shelf :D

Oh, and I have to mention that the other part of walk in closet has proper "his" and "her" wardrobes. So when my entire bag collection can no longer fit into this bag closet, I can still keep them in my "her" wardrobe *thinking to expand the bag closet*

And by the way, today I wore my new open tote from Cath Kidston in slate dots patterns. Considering that today was a hectic day and I planned to visit to the house which is under construction (dust everywhere!), then wearing this bag was the right choice.
The oilcloth bag is just dust away. No need to worry if it will get any dirt or stain from the construction.

Nice goodies from Cath Kidston Summer Sale - Part 2

Holiday bag and day bag

Holiday bag in 'Country Rose'

The holiday bag can be folded and tucked into its matching pouch that came with the bag. Nice!

The holiday bag has 2 zipper pulls which is a good attribute for a holiday bag,
so that we can lock the bag by using the padlock

Day bag in 'British Birds'

During the last Cath Kidston summer sale, I made several purchases and last week I just received the second batch. The first batch has been featured here.

Here comes the second batch of my Cath Kidston goodies:
  1. Day bag in British Birds
  2. Holiday bag in Country Rose
  3. Shopping trolley (foldable) in Slate spot (photo N/A)
I found difficulty to take pictures of the shopping trolley as I need to put some stuffing quite a lot to make it look like a trolley.

Anyway, there are some reasons why recently I am quite drawn to Cath Kidston:
  1. The vintage flowery patterns can hypnotize me successfully LOL
  2. The bag is my preferred bag to do the grocery shopping and to go to the pilates studio. Because they are made from oilcloth fabrics, then it is very maintenance-free. I don't need to worry the bag will get stain from the fresh seafood/meat that I choose from in the supermarket. And I can also be careless when I put in my dirty and wet clothes after having the sweaty pilates session
  3. And lastly, not so many people are seen to be wearing the 'authentic' Cath Kidston bags. Fakes are everywhere but it is very obvious when it is fake!

Nice goodies from Cath Kidston Summer Sale - Part 1

Slate spots, winter meadow and summer blossom prints.

2 Open totes and a Carry all bag

The oilcloth fabric is used to make this durable and easy-to-clean bags

The open tote has 4 meatl feet at the bottom

Cath Kidston's summer sale has just been ended. These are some of items that I purchased during the sale (note that I always bought Cath Kidston products during sale season only):

    1. Open tote 'Winter Meadow'
    2. Open tote 'Slate Spots'
    3. Carry all bag 'Summer Blossom'

And I have to highlight that the packaging from Cath Kidston is very thoroughly thought and nicely wrapped.

The colourful wrapping made from thick plastic

    Foreword from Cath Kidston team

A despatch note shows all items ordered (yet it didn't mention the prices)

A special tag/sticker was provided in case of returns or exchanges

For sure there will be 'Part 2' for my recent shopping haul from Cath Kidston Summer Sale. I just need to patiently wait the postman to deliver the package.

    To be continued......

Cath Kidston as my pilates bag

I am now a pilates addict! I went for the session 3 times a week and as usual I always brought a big tote bag to the studio.
One day, this Cath Kidston Regular Tote in Candy Flowers print accompanied me on my pilates session.

The bag is very roomy so that I just put my clothes, towel, socks, make-up pouch as well as my wallet and blackberry inside the tote.
