Black croc-stamped bags

This is my small family of black croc-stamped bags (and clutches). I used to have a beautiful Celine phantom in black croc-stamped, but I decided to let it go since it was way too big for my petite frame. Sometimes I missed that beautiful bag though. But then I am now content with this small happy family.

Bag of the day: Givenchy Pandora

The shape of this bag may look odd i.e. it is not symmetrical. But surprisingly this bag is very comfortable to wear. Its main compartment (the top zip) is quite spacious, the bag slouches nicely when it is worn and the leather is just so luscious (and durable too). My Pandora is made from goatskin or also known as 'chevre' with obvious small veins on the leather surface. Givenchy Pandora also offers another leather version called 'pepe' which is made from washed lambskin. In my opinion the chevre version looks more luxurious while pepe version gives an edgy style. 

Definitely this bag has become my favourite daily bag in the past one month and it will be great for travelling too.I simply can't wait to take this bag to my next trip.

My favourite black clutch

This Givenchy Antigona clutch in black croc-stamp is my favourite black clutch....
It may look small, but a continental wallet and iphone can fit inside the clutch compartment. And since it is a compact clutch, it is easy and comfy (and not too heavy) to be hand-held during a formal standing party

What a nice surprise

Oh yes, I got this nice surprise from DH around a week ago. When I opened the white cotton dustbag, I instantly adored its bright purple colour. This is my first Givenchy bag. And after one week of wearing it, I love the bag even more. Very comfortable, easy to access to the main compartment, easy to open the zip while the bag is on my shoulder, gorgeous leather (and looks durable too) and relatively lightweight. Well, those are some criteria that are important for me when I choose a handbag, especially if the bag is for everyday use. And this Pandora  has passed with flying colours lol...

I will share more pictures of this baby soon ;) As always it is not easy to capture the real purple tone from a handbag. In the past I had some technical issue with my other purple bag when I took photos of them. If the lighting is too bright then its red-tone will come out. And if the lighting is too dark, then the blue-tone will get stronger. So I have to be in a proper lighting or time for the (bag) photoshoot session. Next week I will do my best to capture this purple baby and will share it here ;)

Givenchy Antigona Clutch

 

 

I have a soft spot for anything croc-stamped, especially those in black!
In my collection, I have ever had Celine phantom, trapeze and zip clutch which were all in black croc-stamped (check here).

Hence, it was obvious that I was immediately sold for this Givenchy Antigona clutch in black croc-stamped. Size-wise, it is smaller than Saint Laurent Cabas clutch, yet a continental wallet (and a mobile phone and a small pack of tissue) can still go inside this Givenchy clutch. I was quite surprised knowing that a number of essential items can fit inside this small clutch.

At the end, it was one happy purchase and I have no regret so far.

I have a big crush on Givenchy Antigona Satchel

I have never really keen on Givenchy bags. Yes, maybe I once considered the Nightingale as I really loved its wrinkle effect on the thick leather. But finally I never got the bag and the name of Givenchy never came into my mind when I 'go through' my bag wishlist. --> It  means the time when I review or revise or add the list ;)

But the hype about this Antigona Satchel bag has annoyed me recently, in a positive way. I start liking the bag. It just grew on me. And now I have a major crush on Antigona!

The thing with this bag is that it has a great variation of leather, 3 different sizes and great colour options! The sizes are small, medium and large, and I would defintely prefer the medium one. Then I noticed that there are shiny and grainy leather yet I also read about a selection of calfskin and goatskin. Hmmm, this variation of leather/sizes/colour really reminds me of Celine. As per now I am still curious about the kind of leather or effect that has greater durability to scratches.

I have never seen the bag in real life and now I can't wait to see the bag in person. Luckily there is a local Givenchy shop here. So maybe next week I plan to make a stop at Givenchy store;)

As my favourite colour, I would seriously consider blue or shiny black Antigona.
