This is the second part of (annual) summary of 2014 bag acquisition.
If the first part displayed my premier designer handbags, then in this post I wish to share the acquisition of contemporary designer handbags (Note: the terminology of premier vs contemporary brand is based on tPF category).
And it is not a surprise that Longchamp Le Pliage handbags was on the top acquisition list! I am fully aware that it is a repeat purchase every year (but always in different colours nonetheless). One thing that is worth mentioning is that last year I got my first personalized Longchamp Le Pliage cuir. I feel satisfied for the personalized handbag and have a mission for getting another one but in small size. As per today, the mission has not been accomplished as I did not really favour the Le Pliage cuir colour swatch from the Spring Summer 2015 collection. I thought that I should wait for the next one or two season and hope that Longchamp will release distinctive or gorgeous colours for its Le Pliage cuir collection.
I am fully aware that I am very very late to upload this post. It has been 6 months late. But I always believe that it is better late than never.
So without further ado, I wish to share the (annual) summary of my bag acquisition in 2014 (Note: today is almost the end of July 2015. So this is a very very very very late post).
The summary is very simple (and short) because I did not buy many designer handbags last year. In fact, one of them was actually a present (i.e. Givenchy Pandora in purple). Something important to note is that last year I ventured myself for getting my very first Mansur Gavriel and Chanel vintage flapbag and I love them instantly. I love them so much that this year I have expanded the bag family for both mentioned names. To date my bag collection for Chanel vintage flapbag and Mansur Gavriel have been growing in the steady pace. 4 Chanel vintage flapbags and 3 Mansur Gavriel bags (soon will be 4!) are already in my closet now. Maybe by the end of the year the situation might change (and expand). Who knows!
A brand that has been constantly on my acquisition list is obviously Celine. I have been a Celine aficionado in the past 4 years. Last year I successfully managed to get my first Celine Luggage Nano in gorgeous coquelicot red. However since then I feel 'less excited' for Celine and I have stopped buying Celine handbags for nearly 10 months. So nothing much has changed for Celine collection since last year (no new addition but there is reduction). But maybe the situation might change towards year end. Who knows!
P.S. By the time I wrote this post, the green Celine Trio has found a new home/owner. I decided to sell it because I have got too many Celine Trios and green is not really my colour. If someday Celine releases a gorgeous pink Trio, then I would definitely need to have one!
Without doubt, Goyard is one of my favourite brand, especially I love its classic St Louis style (in PM size). In general, Goyard bags are lightweight yet the material are quite durable. So that's the main reason why Goyard bags will stay in my collection for a long period of time.
Once I had a Goyard bag other than St Louis, i.e. Sac Hardy PM (check here). Yet I do not favour its boxy look therefore I decided to get a new owner for the Sac Hardy.
Now I have only 2 Goyard tote bags but I am (seriously) thinking to expand this little family... So, yellow or grey, perhaps?
In the past, I have made a post about my Celine Trio Family (check here). However as I continuously update my bags I then have decided to let go one of my Celine Trio. The decision was based on the fact that I have several mini bags and green was not my favourite colour. So my Celine Trio in grass green (check the green Trio here and here) has found a new home.
Now I only have 4 Celine Trios which are all under basic colours. I think I am at the stage where I have enough of mini bags and would seriously seriously think (and think) when I am about to acquire another mini bag.
