Bag of the day: Proenza Schouler PS1 Medium

To  be honest, I like to wear a monochromatic outfit. I think it is simple and chic at the same time.
When I am in the mood for monochromatic, then I usually take out my other-than-black bag. And last week I took out my beloved PS1 dark red from the closet to be paired with a black-and-white attire. The bag has been in my possession for around 5 years and I still love it. Definitely this is one of my favourite bags. It will give a casual chic vibe to the overall outfit and the leather is just divine (and durable). This PS1 has been to many places too as I like to bring it when I am traveling (here and here).

This is not the only PS1 that I own. I do have another one in midnight blue. Please check my blue PS1 here and here.

Bag of the day: Givenchy Pandora

The shape of this bag may look odd i.e. it is not symmetrical. But surprisingly this bag is very comfortable to wear. Its main compartment (the top zip) is quite spacious, the bag slouches nicely when it is worn and the leather is just so luscious (and durable too). My Pandora is made from goatskin or also known as 'chevre' with obvious small veins on the leather surface. Givenchy Pandora also offers another leather version called 'pepe' which is made from washed lambskin. In my opinion the chevre version looks more luxurious while pepe version gives an edgy style.

Definitely this bag has become my favourite daily bag in the past one month and it will be great for travelling too.I simply can't wait to take this bag to my next trip.

Check here for the first reveal post.

Bag of the day: Balenciaga City

I just noticed that my Balenciaga black city was from SS 2009 collection. I was once told that black from that year was one of the best black from Balenciaga. The leather is so deliciously soft with lots of veins and wrinkles. Definitely it's a keeper.

Bag of the day: Celine Croc-embossed Trapeze

Since the release of Mini Trapeze in early 2014, I have been contemplating whether I should switch my medium Trapeze to the Mini version. I like the size of mini Trapeze, which is more suitable for my petite frame. And with the option of 3-colour combo, that mini version just becomes a super cute handbag. My SA also mentioned that the mini Trapeze was flying off the shelves quickly nowadays yet she promised that she could help me finding the perfect colour combo that I wish for.

Sometimes there is this evil idea that I could have both Trapezes (medium and mini), so that I just need to get a mini version (and keep this black beauty). However I further thought that I only want to have one Trapeze. And to tell you the truth, most of the time this bag stays in her dust bag inside my closet and I rarely took her out especially while I went out with the kids. I would rather use Goyard St Louis as my trusted bag for going out with three kids.

So that's the reason why I have been actively wearing my one and only medium Trapeze and continuously thinking 'should I or should I not' switch to the smaller version. Just like today. This bag was on duty again, and as expected I fall in love again with this classic piece. I like the fact that the leather has become softer and it is no longer a stiff leather. And the smell of Celine leather is just divine.

So yes, this baby will stay in my closet for a longer period of time... I hope that I have made a sound decision this time.... *fingers crossed*

Bag of the day: Proenza Schouler PS1 Medium

This bag is officially my favourite daily bag (as well as Goyard St Louis and Longchamp Le Pliage Cuir) and this PS1 medium is my best companion for travelling. It has so many pockets which come very handy when I am on the go. The back zip pocket is the place where I keep my mobile phone or other small things that I need to grab fast without opening the main compartment.

I am petite. I am only 5'1 tall. And I think that the medium size is just perfect for me. And the bag can be worn in many many ways: over the shoulder, hand carried, cross body, with long strap or with shortened strap.

Currently I am tempted to get the PS1 tiny. But I am still torn between these 3 mini bags: Fendi 2jour mini, Proenza Schouler PS1 tiny and Celine nano. Ouch, what a tough decision it is...

Bag of the day: Proenza Schouler PS Courier

In the past one week, my new Proenza Schouler PS Courier Black Krishna was getting very busy. I have been actively wearing the bag to many (casual) occasions and the bag was proven to be very handy. I simply adore it. Lightweight, easy opening, useful back pocket, adjustable strap, soft and durable leather and gorgeous contrasting orange leather lining. So then what could I ask for more for a daily bag?

I could wear the bag in 3 styles: in short and long strap settings, and in cross body. Note that I have a petite body frame just 5'1".

So after a week of wearing it, I can conclude that I am happy with PS Courier. Now I can not stop thinking about the PS Courier pony which look very luxurious *sigh*

Bag of the day: Chanel Maxi Soft Caviar

This bag is an old version of Chanel Maxi flap bag and made from soft caviar leather. It is different from current maxi flap bags as they are now made from lambskin or caviar leather. This rather old bag is much less structured (due to the use of softer leather) than the regular Chanel flap bags. It is then common for this bag to have the slouchy look when it is worn.

I love to wear this bag to be paired with jeans, simple top and wedges or flat shoes. And today I wore my Chanel Maxi Soft Caviar to go to my son's school for meeting with his teachers. From the teachers I received a very positive feedback on my son's academic performance at school.  This has made my day.
So proud of you, Son *hugs*

Bag of the day: Prada tessuto crossbody bag

I can't believe that I have had this Prada tessuto/nylon bag for more than 8 years and I still think that this small cross body bag is quite handy. From time to time I still wore the bag especially if I went out with the kids. In my case, the bag is entitled to be labeled as a mommy bag lol

A few days ago I opted to carry this bag when I needed to accompany the kids to an outdoor playground. The bag is proven to be hassle free (i.e. simple, lightweight, easy opening) and quite low maintenance (no need to 'baby' the bag for sure). So when the bag is on duty I can utilize both hands and focus my minds to handle and chase around the kids.

As a conclusion, I have no regret on keeping this 'rather outdated' bag and intend to occasionally wear it.

P.S.: Check this old post here where I featured the very same bag.

Bag of the day: Celine Edge Medium

I have been using the bag for more than a week, and I am in love. It is such an easy bag.
Easy to open, easy to carry on the shoulder (very comfy), easy to get stuffs out of the bag (I could use one hand to take out wallet while the bag stays on the shoulder) and easy to maintain (the leather is quite sturdy and durable).

The bag may look simple yet it serves very well as a daily bag. Celine Edge also looks quite chic and it is not as common as its sisters (i.e. luggage or phantom or trapeze). In my case, the bag has passed the test with flying colour and definitely it will be worn more often.

See more photos of this Celine Edge Medium in here.

Bag of the day: Tulisan beach bag

As my normal Sunday or weekend, I spent the day with kids. It meant that I had to adjust the entire look properly. Flatshoes, big tote bag and comfy outfit are must items.

And yesterday I opted to wear a beach bag from Tulisan. Tulisan is a local brand that regularly releases limited edition print bags and accessories. It is one of my favourite brand and I regularly made a visit to the store:)

The bag is B.I.G. but that is what I need as I had to put children books, toys, a bottle of milk plus other stuffs. And whenever going out with the kids, I tried to use a non leather bag and canvas bags have been my best companion (like Goyard). The reason is simple, I do not want my designer leather bags to get some scratches or kicks from my kids' shoes lol Having a 1.5 year old boy, I often carried him in my arms and his shoes frequently touched/kicked my bag. Trust me, I have learnt a lesson on this matter from my own experience (and it was a bag chaos lol) :)

And on my wrist I wore a cute leather cuff and my loyal diamond bracelet :)

The bag is from recently launched Love Letter of Roro Mendut series.

Bag of the day: Celine Mini Luggage Black

I had to run some errands today, including dropping off the kids at the in-law's house (they're staying overnight at in-law's house) and picking up some food for new year's eve celebration.
The plan is that we are going to a NYE event at our friend's house and everybody has to bring some food to share. I am looking forward to this event as we are going to meet some friends that we have not seen them in a long time.

Today I opted to wear Celine Mini Luggage in black. I had this for more than 1.5 years and this is still one of my favourite black bags. I just noticed that the leather has become slouchier, but it is not an issue for me as I can now wear it over the shoulder more comfortably.

Bag of the day: Chanel Reissue in black matte

The bag has been in my posession for nearly 3 years and I am still loving it... It is a keeper definitely :)
