Balenciaga Cuffs

Today is the second day in 2015 and I have scored three new bracelets. Well, when it comes to bracelets, I am basically very weak. I can easily make an impulsive decision to buy one or two, especially if it is from my favourite brands like Balenciaga, Celine, Valentino and (sometimes) Hermes. Today was no exception.

Initially I just planned to see the new Balenciaga bleu roi in metallic edge series, but when I left the store, I carried the white paper bag lol

So, these 3 cuffs were coming home with me. They are Gris Fossile, Bleu Roi and Rose Peche, from Spring Summer 2015 collection. Honestly I still wanted another cuff in rose berlingot (in giant hardware), but it was not available in store today. Rose berlingot is a gorgeous magenta pink and sometimes it reminds me of amethyst (but in much lighter shade). For sure it is beautiful pink/light purple.

I definitely will make another visit to Balenciaga store in the next 2 or 4 weeks and hope that the cute rose berlingot cuff is available.

Bag of the day: Balenciaga City

I just noticed that my Balenciaga black city was from SS 2009 collection. I was once told that black from that year was one of the best black from Balenciaga. The leather is so deliciously soft with lots of veins and wrinkles. Definitely it's a keeper.

Balenciaga arm candy

I looooove wearing Balenciaga leather bracelet or cuff, especially in gold giant hardwares. They are edgy and chic at the same time. Whenever I had one of them on my wrist, most of the time I worn it solo, i.e. no bracelet stacking. Just like in here.

My current collection is all in neutral and blue colours and I am hoping to gradullay grow my collection by getting some in bright colours (Thinking of red and purple).

The wallet is in fire opal from Bottega Veneta's FW 2011 collection and the envelope clutch is in mandarin from Balenciaga's SS 2009 collection.

Gosh... I just realize that I have had those clutch and wallet for years and I still love them now.

Another new arm candy

It is very obvious that I am a bracelet addict when it comes to jewelry. Wearing bracelet is so much fun and I can easily stack or mix and match them. And the most important thing why I like to wear bracelets is that because I can 'see' it while I am wearing it. It is unlike wearing earrings or necklace where only the other persons can see those jewelries attached to my body.

So this month I think I have already made some bracelet hauls. Around 2 weeks ago I got 2 Valentino rockstud bracelets (check here) and now I just acquired a Balenciaga cuff in Bleu Paon with silver metallic edge. It is from FW2014 collection as I was told that the metallic edge series released in FW2014 collection are all in 'silver hardwares'.

Since I still have a wishlist of Balenciaga black cuff in gold metallic edge, so I guess that I have to patiently wait until the next season when (hopefully) the metallic edge series will be in gold hardwares.

Bag of the day: Balenciaga Work Outremer and others

It is common that when I leave the house I would carry several bags, where each bag has its own purpose.
Like today, I intentionally prepared 3 different bags. One is for my handbag (Balenciaga), another one is used as a camera bag (because I don't favour the masculine-looking camera bag) and last one is my pilates bag (Tulisan tote bag).

I do not always carry a DSLR camera whenever I leave the house. It is heavy and my photography mood is not always in good condition. But today was special, where I promised to take some photos of my daughter while she's at school. Luckily it was sunny in the morning and I had a wonderful photo session. At the school field I chased around my daughter and her friends and begged them to pose and smile and to look at to my camera for 5 seconds just before they ran away. After doing this kind of  'exercise' (i.e. chasing around the kids/standing on my knee frequently while carrying the heavy camera) for another 30 minutes, I sweated a lot and I thought that I successfully burnt several hundred calories lol

Bag of the day: Balenciaga Work Outremer

It was my light breakfast (cappuccino and a slice of apple pie) this morning at my favourite coffee shop. I had a quick coffee session as I needed a strong morning booster before I gave a lecture at the campus.

Thanks God that today was sunny and traffic was ok.

Bracelet addict

 

Among many kinds of accessory/jewelry, my favourite items are bracelet and ring. The reason is very simple, i.e. because I can 'see' it (and enjoy it) while I am wearing it. Unlike necklace and earrings, these two types of accessories can only be seen by others, instead of me.

In the past 6 months I have managed to (slowly) grow my bracelet collection. They are Valentino Va Va Voom stud bracelets, Balenciaga triple tour in beige nougatine with gold hardware, Celine leather cuff and Hermes Clic H in black with gold hardware.

The best we to wear them is to stack them on my wrist with different bracelet combination (2-3 bracelets) ;)

Balenciaga Family

These are the remaining Balenciaga bags that I currently own.
They are one small happy family and I am happy and content with my current collection.

In the past (circa 2009-2010) I was a true Balenciaga addict and owned up to 17 Balenciaga bags with various styles/hardwares/colours. However since I have been a Celine convert and loyal to Celine in the past 2 years, then I had to let go most of my Balenciaga bags. Now I only have 6 Balenciaga bags and love each one of them.

Recent Balenciaga haul

From various forms of accessories, bracelet and ring are my favourite items. The reason is simple, because I can 'see' and enjoy having them in my arms. As for earrings or necklace, I can not easily see and will definitely need a mirror to 'look at' them lol. Else these earrings and necklace are worn for the enjoyment of other persons haha

So it is not a surprise that I frequently displayed what's on my wrist (the latest one is here) and I never had my wrists empty. Collecting bracelets (especially Hermes) has simply become my recent obsession :)

In the past one year I have been addicted to Hermes bracelets and never had enough of them (check here for my latest Hermes bracelets collection). And I just realized that I do not have any Balenciaga cuffs, until now.

I was immediately sold to this Balenciaga Triple Tour due to its gorgeous combo of Bleu Mineral and gold hardware. Bleu mineral is one of Balenciaga's Spring Summer 2013 colours. The bracelet is beautiful in real life and will be a perfect match to my favourite dark blue jeans.

Nicole Richie and Balenciaga City in classic black

Nicole Richie is widely known for her love of Balenciaga bags. Back then (or 3-4 years ago), when the bag had not become an 'IT' bag, Ms. Richie was often spotted toting a Balenciaga bag in her arm. And she was spotted and photographed many times carrying different styles and colours from Balenciaga.
I wondered how many Balenciaga bags that she had... what a lucky lady

Now seeing Ms. Richie carrying the classic City bag in black is just refreshing. Although I confess that I am no longer a Balenciaga addict (thanks to Celine!), I still adore those ladies who can pull off their style with Balenciaga bag.

By the time I make this post. I still keep my Balenciaga City in classic bag (check here) and for sure this bag is a keeper and it will not leave my bag collection.

Balenciaga attack

I was once a Balenciaga addict. A very very bad Bal addict. It was like 2-3 years a go when I was obsessed in finding my holy grails every season. In fact I owned around 15 bags in total (but not within the same time) and if I looked back, it did not look too good. So I gradually let my babies go, with sad and mixed feelings, when I started my affair with Celine. And now I only have few pieces of Balenciaga bags left in my wardrobe and I am good. I am a Bal content now.

Two days ago, I took this sleeping beauty back from her long hiatus and she became my companion. And the touch of Balenciaga soft leather has awaken the sleeping 'monster' inside me that now I feel like having an old flame with this famous distressed leather. I have started looking at Balenciaga website and learning the next season's collection. The words like Rose Thulian, Cassis, Mangue, Cumin, Jacynthe, Poker Fonce, Gris Tarmac, Kraft, Crocus and Lagon start haunting me.... Oh God, I do hope that I only have this Bal attack only for this week.... H.E.L.P.

And I just realized that my black beauty (on above pic) was from SS 2009 Collection. I can't believe that it has been more than 3 years in my obsession. I felt that it was like a month a go that I was busy hunting down the best jet black that Balenciaga ever had. And for me, black bags from 2009 and 2010 collection had the best black ever....

Afternoon coffee time

Yesterday I had a great lunch and afternoon time with my girlfriends. It was a 2.5hour lunch at an authentic Japanese rastaurant and followed by a session of coffee time at Monolog. I considered that Monolog serves quite a good coffee.

My bag of the day were Balenciaga Work Sang SGH and an eco bag from Perigot (the one in red-white stripes). I intentionally brought this eco bag so that any shopping bag (ehm, I will reveal later), iPad, a bottle of mineral water can all be kept in one place and it made my hands free from carrying any bags.
I was fully aware that my Balenciaga work bag had enough space for iPad, mineral water bottle, and a small shopping bag. But I did not want to carry a heavy bag. I prefer to split the weight into 2 bags. Hence, this Perigot's eco bag always comes very handy for me and I often bring it when I head to a shopping mall;)

Well, this Perigot's eco bag is made from jersey fabrics (I also have the one made from nylon and cotton). The tote bag can be folded and tucked inside the bear's tummy. It is cute and trust me, most of the time this bag was a conversation starter. Like: "Hey, this is so cute. Where did you get this bag?" or "oh my God, I did not think that the bag can be folded into the shape of a cute bear!" :D
